Aside from the 960mm focal length, I think the biggest difference between my shot and the rest posted here is post processing.

Adding a curves layer to boost the contrast and then a sharpening filter can really make the detail pop.

I've downloaded some of the others in this thread and applied this technique and many of them are nearly as detailed as what I've posted. It really surprises me what some of you guys get out of your 300mm zooms. I tried and tried with my regular lenses for months before getting my telescope, and didn't do anywhere near as well as some of you have!
