I use this lens often. It is very sharp, you will be surprised. It is unknown as many go for the 24-70 instead. For the price you will be very please. My impression is that Sigma has stopped producing it because of the competition with 24-70. Many stores have reduce the price to remove it from their inventory, discontinue item reaction. I have compared photo taken at 50mm f3.2 with Pentax FA 50mm and sharpness is equivalent, I was floored by the results. Mine is not for sale!
