I think it really gets down to your budget and limits.

Its fine to want to cover every focal range... then this again gets to the point where you have to say can I do it on my budget and be satisfied with the lenses I can have. This is the point your at right now being dis satisfied.

I would be looking at what focal length I take most of my photos at ... you may be surprised as I was... then see if it would be better to cut down on the amount of lenses and up the anti on quality of lenses and be more satisfied with your results.

I hope this helps... I am not however on such a restricted budget as you may be... no offence please, so my view may be a bit more shallow than yours.
