Pentax south africa does not even acknowledge official suppliers in other countries.. so if they didn't supply it (they being Pentax SA)- no warranty - no matter where it comes from!
My appologies for the part of my post about SA. Since our Canadian, Australian, and many other Pentax users get the warranty (international I think) I had assumed (MY BAD) you would also. What a bummer!!! You have a legitimate complaint.
