Ha -- it makes me question why I continue to try to shoot manual focus at distance with my 46 year-old eyes. And I'll definitely be on the lookout for that ruler

I cry, trash them, and do better next time. I no longer even bother trying to save an image where I've missed focus by more than a few inches. There's an old saying, "Garbage in, garbage out."
