Macro Grasshopper ...

I am quiet new into macro photography and I tried to take this large grasshopper (about 6 inches large). So any advice will be helpfull ...

This is one very colourful customer. I like the framing of the top image. The focus is very good too. Sharp where it has to be, on the eyes and head. Perhaps it is unfortunate to be surrounded by white, it makes the picture hard to look at for me. You could perhaps try a vignette to soften the harsh light. I would also increase the saturation and contrast very very slightly on the insect.
