Landscape Solitary tree

I love the composition, its great. But it lacks a little sharpness thru whole picture and a bit of mid tones for my opinion

I would go like this with it:

I like texture and form of the subject. I also like the black and white rendition as well as the empty space around the tree. In fact, I would like to see a bit more empty space to the right of the tree to give it more room to breathe. I don't know whether this would have been possible (e.g. some rocks or other trees just outside the picture), however, the tree leads the gaze to the right and there, for me, isn't enough empty space. (maybe rule of thirds would've helped the impression for me)

It's a minimalist BW that depends on it's tone to work - bring that out.
As it is it's too flat.
Otherwise well done.
