Pentax 67 Sync speed

Hello everyone
Just got my Pentax 67 for Christmas and I was wondering what the sync speed for that camera with a 105 2.4 lense on it would be? I think I saw somewhere that it is 1/30th but I wasn't sure if that was accurate given the source. Also if I get a leaf shutter lense like the 90mm the sync speed won't matter because the lense is a leaf shutter is that correct? Thanks in advance!

No, that is correct.

With a leaf shutter lens your fastest sync speed will be limited to 1/500th - which is a full stop faster than most current DSLRs.

Your 67 body allows for a 1/30 sync speed. As you know, the 90mm allows for a sync speed up to 1/500. It depends on if the lens has a leaf shutter, as you mentioned.

Hi Tom,
Here is a photo with Takumar 6x7 1:2.8 90mm LS with the Pentax AF360FGZ
Ektar 100
AF360 supports the old 6x7 Taks.

Settings (would have been my defaults) f/8 1/125th and flash in -A, set to 67 format, 90mm and iso 100.
There is almost no ambient light
The baseball face paint just allows me to put this up.

The boy on left is African-American and his skin color is about OK.
The other boys are caucasian and skin is a bit dark.
The Fuji 400 seems to have better skin tones with flash.

I trust you will have many happy hours with your 67!

Here's an online manual. Pentax 67. Sold my 67 in 2009 but still have the manual ( copyright date of 1989 ) plus a 3 page manual for the TTL Prism ( English & Japanese). Looks like this KEH Manual

Been meaning to put it on eBay along with other stuff I'm no longer using.

When using the LS lenses, set your shutter to 1/8th of a second, however, not 1/30th. Then set your LS to the proper shutter speed. The 1/8th is the time recommended by Pentax because it ensures that the camera can close the LS shutter, open the FP shutter, and actuate the LS shutter without any shutter capping.
