Pentax K-30 Video Settings help!

Hi I just got a used Pentax K-30 and I'm really new to it. My problem is, I want to film videos with the camera but there seems to be a time limit for videoing? It always stops at 5 or 6 minutes. And no, my SD card is not full (8GB) Please help me with the specific setting changes...

Isn't there a 4gb limit per file? Try lowering the resolution to HD instead of full HD.

Yep, that's what the manual says (p.131).

That cannot be why, even full HD doesn't take that much space. Mine works...

Perhaps try a factory reset? I don't know what else might be wrong. It is used, that might be why.

I had tried the factory reset. It just got worse. It turned from 6 minutes to only 3 minutes left. I'm pretty sure it's on interval mode/movie? I don't know how to turn it off.

Then it would be taking pictures. That's not it.

Can you still return it?

You'd have to get a new one. Regular use and full charge/discharge cycles will extend the longevity of your future batteries
