FA*85mm F1.4 suddenly cannot focus to infinity

The lens was working fine the last time I used it but today it could not focus to infinity. Using the K3 with the lens. Anyone encounter this issue before?

Will the focusing ring physically not turn to infinity, or does it get jammed? Could be broken gearing inside the lens if that's the case. Happened to my 43mm, believe it or not, after just a couple of outings.

If that's not it, then try removing and re-mounting the lens, cleaning all contacts, cleaning the mirror box, and performing AF adjustments.

At least you have a manual version to play with. How do they compare?

I cannot go past infinity on the Silver K3 and I have adjusted the AF adjustment to -10. But on my son's Black K3, I could get it to work to infinity. weird.

It's going to visit the service centre tomorrow.

It will focus up to just before the infinity sign and I then cannot press the shutter button tp take a photo. On my son's Black K3, it goes to infinity and fires.

Seems it's the lens so it's gone for servicing. Hopefully it can be fixed.

Update!

It seems the lens rear group was loose and that was the reason that it could not focus to infinity. It's been fixed by the service guy and will collect it when I am free.
