Now I'm a proud owner of K-3!!

Hey, everyone. Congrats me on becoming a new Pentaxian! I grabbed the deal from Adorama from our link ($799 with K-3, Flucard, Grip, plus 35mm 2.4 at $119 and $19.95 2-year warranty) and finally placed an order after a month of long research ever since I had found some unexpectedly great images on a site and got to know they were taken with a Pentax K-7.

I first got interested in K-5 IIS but turned to K-3 thanks to Adorama's great deal. Even though the price might go down a little bit more with a potential introduction of new models in Feb, I think this is the right time to grab this camera before the deal is gone.

I'm very glad I could grab this deal and can't wait to test it! This site is such a great place to learn about everything related to Pentax and also about Photography too-so I made a donation today to appreciate that. Now that I have a more than good enough camera for my novice skill level, I really want to focus on Photographic skills such as composition, etc.. It's a joy to navigate through the forums and find wonderful information. Thank you!

You will enjoy the K-3 very much. Next is to be tempted by some more great Pentax lenses, especially the Limited lenses. I had a K-20 for years and also could not resist the special prices recently. You got a deal with the flu-card ($100 value). I only got the grip free for my $799.

Congratulations on me and you both!

I got a similar bundle from Adorama but mine had the DA 50mm.

The prices will come down. They always do. Consider how many great shots you can get a head start on photographing by buying now vs. waiting. That's got to be worth something.

Dive deep into this forum. The atmosphere is very positive and very non-competitive. There is lot you can learn here by reading and apply when you go out.
