Flu-card 16Gb discontinued??

I'm sure I must be late to the party with this, but I just noticed on B&H's website that the Flu-card is showing as discontinued... Is this correct? If so, why? Is there a new model coming out? I was considering picking one of these up at the current UK discounted price, but I may hold off if there's something new in the pipeline - maybe something faster?

If it really is discontinued, perhaps they are moving to builtin WiFi on future cameras.

But B&H sometimes lists things as discontinued when they really mean "out of stock". Amazon has it in stock.

Man, I wish. Better still, let's see a wired tethering solution!!!

Ah, ok... thanks for that. Yeah, plenty of suppliers over here have it in stock and I've seen no mention elsewhere on the "interwebinet" to say it's discontinued...

Built-in WiFi is definitely in the future. The K-S2 has it and if I'm not mistaken the new Full Frame is also slated to have it. The K-3II is mainly a rework of the K-3 but when a true successor is introduced I would be surprised if WiFi wasn't also built in. All the competition has it so I think it's probably pretty much a necessity to remain competitive.

B&H definitely has no Flucard for sale. They don't even have a searchable listing for ANY Flucard, Pentax-specific or not. Adorama, OTOH, has the Pentax-specific item in stock as do various Amazon merchants.

My suspicion is that B&H chose to not carry it due to poor sales. It may also be possible that the Flucard product is not doing so well in general.
