I'm not sure why you're comparing an ipad to a DSLR, but that said the K-3 has an external mic input whereas the K-30 does not, so that's something to consider. In other aspects the two are very similar.
If you're interested in a good Pentax for video, the upcoming K-70 is the first to offer continuous video autofocus.
