Ok, Final Scouting done... I think I have found a nice place for dinner Sat. thats on the water on Hoopers Is. and will allow us to get some nice sunsets. I will be talking with the owner about setting up a set menu with a few options (yes including seafood) All the locals praised it so it should be good.
MAJOR NOTE ON EQUIPMENT!!!!!
Bring Bug spray, Max Strength! also wear light weight long-sleeve/pants for the hikes. My budy and I could not compleat both hikes we started as we were being chased out of the woods by skeeters. I think we both lost about a quart of blood to thoes visious things. However we got some GREAT photos of dragonflys and birds oh and a manjy fox.

You will also need to bring your longest lens, and if you have one a 1.4x or a 2x converter (I will email sigma to see if they will help by sending one too, but doubtful they have that that we can try.
Converters I recommend, (others are still good, these I have experience with)
Sigma 1.4x (non SDM compat)
Sigma 2x (non SDM compat)
Tamron 1.4x mc4 model/version (SDM compat)
I was using a 300 with 1.4x attached almost 100% of the time, the birds and some wildlife will get closer sometimes, but a 400mm lens is a must. (That loaner Sigma 120-500mm should come in handy for this)
Wides still come in play too with nice vast land-marsh scapes and the watter too, And the beach stiff. This should get everyone some great photos and it looks like my Bud the Bird-guy will be coming (was iffy as he just had a kid) He is going to bring some equipment to try and lour some birds out for us (the more shy/beautiful ones)
I will be posting pics soon.
