I have just bought the above-mentioned P&S. It is not really a backup, more like something that stays in my bag so I can take a shot anywhere.

Apart from a couple of built issues (a little plasticky and SD card shares the same compartment as the batteries), the IQ and performance/responsiveness of the camera have been excellent. The low light performance is OK but if I know I will be taking photos in low light, I will have my DS with me anyway, so not really an issue for me. Surprisingly the flash exposure has been very good too!
