Veterans of the Vietnam war were treated shamefully by many civilians but I think in the case of the Iraq war, there is a lot more compassion theses days.
Yes, and the media probably has a lot to do with drumming up civilian support towards the Iraq war, which was dubiously engaged from the beginning.
Though all the revelations of political alterior motives and economic interests in the arms industry, the Iraq war becomes less and less justifiable.
