Somehow I don't think Canon's going to admit people'll be wanting to use old Pentax lenses, even if the full aperture standard is open.

That's OK, It would be kind of upsetting & a little strange to be using a Canon body with my Takumar lenses, although I would make the sacrifice if that was the only option. But you've given me an idea..... maybe I could write to Pentax, pretending to be the CEO of Canon, inquiring about the feasability of Canon coming out with a fully functioning M42 mount on their FullFrame models. Perhaps that would scare Pentax into beating them to the punch..... I know, back to the pick-up-sticks.
