Actually, I don't think it's so much *fear of Palin* as *fearing life in a country full of people who thought her potentially being President was some kind of good idea. *
Apart from her notion that despite a rather conspicuous failure of 'abstinence only education' in her own Assembles of God family, ignorant notions that didn't work in her own family under ideal economic conditions.... needed to be imposed on the rest of the country, by whatever means, including political dirty dealings and playing up the 'MILF' factor for conservatives n the name of the 'sanctity of marriage...'
It's not actually Palin we were afraid of. More like fearing her popularity was a sign our 'experiment in democracy' had already bit the big one.
It's really not *about* Palin, so much as what her thing said about *us,* and most particularly the things the GOP will blithely claim are 'good for ya, you betcha.'
