You can duck the religious stuff all you want. What you are saying is that he isn't religious, he just went to J.W.'s church for the atmosphere and hung out with a couple of the other religious guys for their political power base. He also seemed comfy quoting the Koran during the Magic Carpet 1 tour of the M.E. He also went out of his way to be non-Christian at Georgetown by covering up crosses. You are totally missing the point of the left religious nuts, its the power base along with all of the other nuts like Alcee Hastings.
Actually, he *is* a Christian and went out of his way not to claim he was speaking for Christianity, cause he *is* a Christian, and an American, and respects both of these too much to confuse either.
And you're barking up the wrong tree if you think I care which Christian church thinks which Christian church is 'sinful.'
I'm not a Christian, and I don't believe anything about those books except what those books say Jesus said about how people like me were to *know* what Christians to figure on as real Christians.... who's a friend and who was 'promised dominion over nations' or whatnot.
