fyi,
i just had the pleasure recently to work as DOP on a shortfilm with two established tv&theater actors from my home country.
They just blew me away. they come on set, chat away while i was setting up the camera, and as soon as the director called for action, they immediately switched to their character.
And they did it in a most convincing way.

I recall i was thinking 'if i had to do this, i'd make myself completely ridiculous.

I love it when you've got quality performers like that Grispie - so much less stress compared to the type that want to stay 'in character' between takes because 'it's method,..'.

A pair of actors I work with has just done a TV pilot based around two characters who do that, taking it to extremes, should be funny as heck if it gets picked up.
