Very nice set!

I had one of these until 5 years ago. It was on my K10D more than anything aside from the FA35/2. I recently re-bought the lens with the hood and case to try on the K-1. They're incredibly affordable for what you get.

Hope to see some shots with it on K1.

I have several Adaptalls, including #44A and #59A {both 28-70 because that range appeals more to me}, but not #01A.
In general, I think well of those, so I guess I need to look into #01A also.
Thank you to both of you for these pictures.

You are welcome #01A is worth the money by a landslide.

I have this zoom lens listed in marketplace. I have two copies of this zoom, they both are fantastic and especially good for close up. I sell as I have too many gear competing for space and usage. Between the Sony FE 28-70 kit zoom and this manual zoom, I pick the manual one to go. In reality, I love the Tamron zoom a bit better due to good close up and good sharpness. This thread opens up new possiblity with video and it is not helping me with my sell decision. You should try a close up video with the zoom.

I enjoy your posted video a bunch. Great work and I seldom shoot video on my Sony gear -- shame. But when I do use video on A7 and A6000, they come out surprisingly good.

[Question]
do you use the zoom with a lens hood. It seems tricky to find a lens hood that works for both aps-c and full frame and cover the range well. My listing on marketplace has the closest that I can find with a metal hood.

I use the floppy hoods for long end when I need one and fold it back when I shoot wide.

I think I have a few anthills that I could spy on.

This has turned out to be a very interesting thread to me:

I became aware of the value of #01A in messages #1 & #2

I expressed an interest in the lens in message #5

I became aware of a Marketplace listing in message #8

And now I've agreed to buy it.
