There was also a titanium version of the LX.

Am I the only one viewing this camera to think "What a shame, no one ever used it and now the era of film has passed. That lovely camera and lens just sat on the sidelines with no one ever using it..."

Just a waste.

Ugh, those gold LX's are atrocious. I cringe every time I see one and hope to never again see the Pentax
name associated such tacky bling. Please, a Hello Kitty 645Z before another Robin Leach model.

To be clear when I said Lovely I was talking only about the function not the cosmetics... it is garish. I like the plain black LX much better.

I do agree it's a shame the gold versions were probably never used. The fact that they were packaged
with a pair of white gloves, lest one blemish it's opulence with a fingerprint, pretty much implied these
were to be squirreled away as collectables rather than used as precision tools. Super mega hipster
coolness points for anyone seen chest deep in a swamp with one of these cameras.

Leica made gold "Lexus" models by the early 1930s, but in very low numbers. Only 4 of the model II Leica Lexus were made, and when one comes up for sale in recent times would be over $1M.

In the photos, the lens cap looks disappointingly blingless compared to the camera. No strap? No matching snake skin print Speedo accessory?

I believe the seller has offered this one multiple times in the past with no takers.

Pentax Sheik Edition, it's obvious. I agree with one of the members here, it's a shame it wasn't used, but whoever had it was probably too embarrassed to whip it out
