Gamble

Typically I'm wary of Ebay purchases with little description and no seller history, but I gambled $35 and just won an ME Super with a SMC 55 1.8 attached. We'll see what shows up.

Gamble is the right word. I've purchased several ME Super bodies. I have two that work fine. All the other ones appeared to work but then the film came back with poorly exposed frames, dark edges, or blur. Be sure to test the camera thoroughly. While I love my ME's, I consider them one of the least reliable bodies anyone ever made, right up there with Fuji's notorious AX-3 and Mamiya's ZE-X. Beautiful cameras when they work.

I figured at the very least if either the body or the 55 1.8 were in good condition it would be worth $35.

I tried that gamble before, and ended up with a dead Super. But it came with a K 50 1.4. I'm trying to find a black super but they're either overpriced or really over priced

Welp, It seems I've rolled snake eyes.

The shutter should dry fire, correct? It doesn't. Light meter seems to work. It's not terribly beat up. Lens has a visible spec inside. I'll put it on my digital and see how it turns out. Debating whether it's worth it to send it in to Eric for a rehab.

The shutter may not be dry firing, look at KY Photo instructions, it is a common problem
