I am using my 170-500mm APO (film era lens) more and more. Really nice lens when stopped down and paired with a good tripod. Lots of fun!!
I paid arround U$200 for it so I can´t complain. Even If I could afford one of the newer ones (2Kg vs 1,3Kg for my old version) I can´t justify such investment in this kind of lens. Again, really fun!
