Problem is the non-APO kinda sucks. Beware of element separation too.

I've owned all versions of the sigma 400 f5.6 including the telemacro. the non-apo sigma is the worst performer of the bunch. The AF 72mm models suffer from gear stripping and mid-element lens separation. This sample seems to be in good condition. It think is a good buy for someone who wants to try the range of the lens (400/5.6 FF or 600/f5.6 in Aps-C). You need a good tripod/gimbal head, good light conditions, patience and good post-processing skills to produce nice images..

They always look good until you shine a light into it and see the spots of separating elements in the middle that cannot be repaired.

Been there, done that.

I disagree, USD200 is a lot if "Part of the middle lens has been removed,But no effect photogenic too." This is just a nice looking plastic tube.
