the strap clips are strong plastic with the flexible part of metal, the bag clips are metal, the big pullers of the zippers of the main compartment of metal. the pullers of the front and rear compartment are from cloth.

How well does the rain cover seal around the straps? Looking at the photos it looks like this could still be a point for water to get in. Thanks!

I'd say it depends on how long it takes you to get out of the rain.

The rain cover basically covers the top, front and the sides, the back isn't fully covered and there are just holes for the straps.
If you're planning on taking pictures in heavy rain for extended periods better get a different bag.

This one looks like a Pro Shoulder Bag 50. And if it isn't then I am torn between the 40 and the 50.

Thanks. I was looking for something to hold my K-5 and lens while shooting soccer games. Camera is weather resistant but I wanted to keep it dry while my son is on the bench (not a super star so it can be a while).

It is the Bag40. Its is very big. The 50 is wider but a little less long.

Its is a picture with a long Tair 3S 300mm. There is plenty more space.
