There are two links on the DA 40 and DA 50. The first takes you to Adorama's site. The second takes you to B&H site which shows the quoted price.

And you are correct the D FA 50 and DA 21 show a higher price.

Looks like the 50mm and 21mm have gone back up a bit. Remember that the prices can change daily!

Wow, if the 15mm came up with these sorts of discounts I'd grab one, even allowing for the awful exchange rate between the $AU/$US

And the moral of the story is if you see a great price act on it ASAP.

It's always a mystery to me why prices on some products can fluctuate some much in so short a time. Hard drives for computers is example. Are the prices based on currency conversion factors? At least it is not as bad as airline fares which can go up hourly it seems.

It's like the stock market coupled with supply and demand economics. I'm sure B&H and Adorama have an automated algorithm that tracks sales with price. The algorithm lowers the price to attract viewers but then kicks the price up a bit after a sale or two. Then you have to wait while the spike in price comes down. Some sort of price time constant for charging and discharging.

Why do the lenses vary so quickly yet the price of the camera bodies do not?

That DFA 50mm Macro price is around the same price its costing to repair my 16-50 lol.

People buy a body once in a while.

People buy lenses all the time.
