Pentax lenses discounted this weekend in UK
Posted By: BigMackCam, 08-25-2016, 02:10 AM

Just got an e-mail from SRS Microsystems with some good deals on Pentax glass over the bank holiday weekend. I'm all sorted for now, although I can't deny I'm tempted by the DA*200

Buy now because when the crash in the value of the £ filters through with new stock you're not likely to see these prices...

Why is the rear convertor so cheap over there? 269 GBP = 350 USD ..plus a 20 GBP discount. Over here in the US, it is 600 dollars. Now I need to see if it is possible to order from the UK.

I don't know, but it has always been that way. There are other discrete items, like the K-3 power supply, that are also typically cheaper here... But, in general, you guys get a better deal on most stuff.

GBP550 off the 70-200 is very tasty indeed - and you can get 12 months interest free credit on top of that - this pushed me to finally take the K-1 plunge as you can get GBP130 off the 24-70 bundled with the K-1 AS WELL AS the GBP300 off the lens -that's effectively GBP430 off that lens if you buy the camera boy as well.As mentioned above by marcusBMG, thses prices didn't go up when the GBP dropped in value after the Brexit vote, so it could be a while until the list pricees fall significantly.

UPDATE - the bundle offer is no longer available it seems, due to lack of stock - or over-generosity? oh well - I got in there, anyway -and maybe it will come back?

Wow, that's some saving. Congratulations!

Trying to buy multiple items I can't get the discounts to work. I can fill in one or the other and it deducts the amount, but when I try to fill in the next discount code it uses that one and forgets the previous one.

I've emailed them to ask for help. Hope they'll also do something about their shipping policy, which is free from GBP100 within the UK. I'd like shipping outside the UK to be free when ordering from a certain amount and upwards. I've bought a camera body from them before. Now looking to spend close to GBP1000 on two lenses.

I had the same problem, but being in the UK I could just put in two separate orders, carriage paid - They're normally very responsive, so hopefully they will sort it for you quickly.

We'll see, they'll probably sort it soon. Enjoy your K-1. I was looking to order a 28-105 for mine. The other lens is for a friend.

Update: I talked to one of the staff. It's a known problem that their IT people have not been able to fix. The advice was to order the items seperately. They will combine the orders and only charge shipping once. Oh well.

well that does the job - it's odd that they couldn't just take your order as one order as it was a result of your conversation- but I suppose everybody has their procedures
