AA Battery grip for k10 / k20 / k100

Having a wander around ebay and come across

Battery Grip for Pentax D-BG2 K10D K20D Samsung GX-10 - eBay Pentax, Batteries, Photographic Accessories, Cameras. (end time 04-Jul-08 19:02:01 AEST)

battery grip for the k10 / k20 that takes 12 AA's. There are times when think that could be handy (but enough times to warrant purchase and carrying when I have a grip already?? - i'm not sure) . Anyway being nosey, just wondered if anyone had one, what it was like etc.

they also have one for the k100d

Ownuser Vertical Battery Grip for Pentax K100D D-BG1 - eBay Pentax, Batteries, Photographic Accessories, Cameras. (end time 05-Jul-08 01:01:51 AEST)

Hi Phil

Third party battery grips - experiences anyone?

Battery Grip Pack for Pentax K20D K10D D-BG2 DBG2 repl. - (eBay.ca item 260250502991 end time 11-Jul-08 17:48:57 EDT)

I think it's the same item, though I've no idea if it's any good !

Best regards
Richard

I think it may be the same one and it can take both the normal battery and aa's maybe I should have looked further. I bought this one

pro battery grip for Pentax K10D K20D GX-10 repla D-BG2 - eBay Other Accessories, Accessories, Digital Camera Accessories, Cameras Photo. (end time 19-Jun-08 07:26:04 AEST)

exact replica of the pentax down to the sd and remote holder. only had it a few days and so far so good, but it took 2-3 goes at mounting to all the controls working, I'm thinking its going to be a little dodgy in this regard.

Phil,
I purchased the same grip for my K10D. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now with no problems. It sure improves the over all feel of the camera. I know it dosen't have all the seals of the Pentax grip, in fact it probably dosen't have any, but I'm happy with it.
