Sorry, focusing screen question and k100d...

I just opened my k100d to clean the dust off the screen and out pops the screen and a copper colored shim! Is it supposed to be there, the shim? I bought the camera brand new from B&H so it wasn't a previous owner that put it there. If it is supposed to be there, what is the order it goes in? Is it body, screen, shim, bracket or body, shim, screen, bracket?

Dave,
Was it on top or under the screen, when it came out. If you don't know, you will have to try it both ways to see what works best. I would think that it goes on top of the screen. They may just have got a batch of screens that were thinner then spec. good luck.

yes, thanks. I tried both ways and the focus was a bit off either way. Tried again and it works great. It goes bracket, scree, shim, body. Yeah, I guess I got a out of spec screen. No matter since I scratched it up...
