18% Grey Micro Cloth

Has anyone tried a 18% gray micro cloth? I suppose even if it didn't work well as a gray card, the cost is in line with other micro cloths, so no great loss.

I'd rather get an Expo disc if I could. It diffuses the light.

Can someone please tell me what this is used for? I have one that came in an accessory bundle and had no idea what difference the color of a cloth makes.....

I shoot RAW and don't worry about exposure. I do use a Crown Royal bag or a Texas flag patch so I can compare colors during PP.

I can see the use for an 18 grey cloth. The camera has trouble with buildings with lots of white marble.
