More sigma 530 super problems

Still havent figured the wireless flash. Its on off on off. Firing on the preflash randomly. Just no good.

But now the flash has begun misfiring. Instead of firing it just makes a click sound with no discharge on random shots. The problem is completely random as to when it will misfire (it happens when the red light is lit btw). The problem also comes in faces, so for a few hundred flashes it will fire perfectly normally and then it will go into its dodgy unpredictable phase. Friday night i was photographing at a party and it only fired every 3 times. (Usually it one be in the order misfire, misfire, flash). That was when it was attached to the camera, but the problem persists when the test button is used.
I feel like there is a loose connection or the electronics are leaking power perhaps.

I've searched for these problems on the net but it doesnt seem to have been resolved? Do i have to send this back (i'm really dreading it because bristol cameras who i bought it from have the worst customer care on earth)

In that case, I'd suggest contacting Sigma directly.
