My AF360 won't flash???

Hi fellow pentaxians,

I tried my AF360 flash the other day and I did not want to flash. I went over the manual, but I seem to be doing everything OK. Everything seems fine, but it just refuses to flash. Now, I am sure I must be doing something wrong, but what?

What is the most common (stupid) mistake people usually make and that could explain why my AF360 won't flash?

Tank's for your help.

Will the Flash fire if it is off the camera and you push the "Test" button?

The batteries are charged, but the test button does not work. If I push on it, nothing happens. It's not red either, it's always white. What could that mean?

Is the LCD display active? If you have no display and no test firing that would suggest that there is no power to the unit.

Yes, the LCD works. In fact, everything seems to be working perfect, except for the distance (flash power) indicator. In PPTL mode, it usedto show a series of arrows indicating the working range. This feature is no longer working. Could this information help you help me?

Maybe one of the switches on the flash isn't exactly engaged?
