To my knowledge Lee uses exclusively 100mm wide filters and Cokin P series is 80mm. Cokin Z series is 100m, but I do not know if the Lee's are compatible, P series is not.

Thanks Georg, I appreciate it. Not sure it makes much difference to me at this point as I just handhold the ND's anyway but it is nice to know as far as my graduated filters go.

LOL, I use Lee type filters too, and also only handhold! Previously I was looking to buy a proper holder, but since I saw Art Wolfe (in Travels to the Edge series) using them hand hold too, I thought I don't have to get any holder, they can actually be just impractical...

You can use HiTech filters, which fit the Cokin P. They are made by Formatt, the company that makes the Lee filters, too. The quality is very good and they produce filters, that don't have the colour casts of the original Cokins.

I have a Cokin Z-Pro holder and filters, and a friend with Lee's is constantly borrowing it... Any 100mm filters will fit, glass or acrylic, since the holder is adjustable to suit the filter thickness...
