Attention Toronto/GTA Pentaxians

I'm sure a lot of you knew about this, but just in case, on Sunday November 18 there is a camera show at the Thornhill Community Centre, 7755 Bayview Ave, Thornhill Ontario. It runs from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Admission is $7.00.

It's been years since I've gone to a camera show, but I'm going to try to make it to this one. They're often a great place to find that one lens or accessory that you've always wanted, and sometimes you find things that you didn't even know existed. I'm in no way affiliated with the organizers of the show, nor am I selling anything there. I'm just passing on some info.

I came

I saw

I was disappointed!

virtually no pentax stuff.

I did see an LX body for a couple hundred, and if yoou wanted to build an ME system, with slow lneses I'll bet you could be in and out for less than $100 including a 28 f2.8, 50 f2. the sears 135 f2.8 and any one of a number of 70-210 f4.5 zooms.

most interesting thing I saw for someone wanting a long lens was a sigma 500mm F8 screw mount. Otherwise, a Pentax F 35-135 and a Sears 135 F2.8 but nothing else really caught my eye.

lots of $2 filters, and other junk.

There was a good collection of medium format if you wanted film, and even 4x5 technical cameras, again if you want film.
