Attn: Utahns

I am interested in getting into shooting panos, and I was wondering if anybody knows of a good place to get the wasatch front as well as the downtown area in the shot. There is a stretch of road close to my parents' house where I think I can get a good shot of just the mountain range, but I would like to find a place where I can get some buildings in the shot too, It think just the mountains might be too boring. If you know of a place let me know.

The place I would love to get to is atop the Jordan Commons office tower, but I doubt it'll ever happen. Along the road up to Suncrest and over to Alpine are some places where you can catch the whole valley... beyond that I don't really know. Hopefully there's someone else here who knows a better place.

hmm, idea: what about getting up in the avenues around the capitol and shooting in the South-East direction?

I think I will have to give the capital a try since I want to go see it now that it is open again. I used to work in the Jordan Commons office tower, and still know a lot of people in that office, too bad they look to the West not the East.

i always liked the view of the wasatch from antelope island, but don't remember how well the city is visible from there.
