Your ideas for Pentax clothing apparel

Since we are seeing Pentax branded clothing apparel and trinkets, what are some ideas that you have?

Mine are:

- A K1000 keychain
- A Pentax baseball cap
- Red Pentax logo socks with white lettering
- Black Pentax logo tee with red lettering

On a side note, I also want a black Speedotron logo tee. IMO, one of the absolute coolest logos ever.

What do you want to see?

Black beret with red Pentax logo and maybe Pentax branded sun glasses with gray frame and red lenses.
And a white t-shirt with a very BIG red PENTAX logo on the back, and a small logo on the chest, in the front.

Actually the black Pentax baseball cap was available until late in the fall of last year (IIRC). I bought two, and sold one of them to forum member Arpe, since he couldn't buy them in NZ.

It would be nice if they reintroduced them!

Cheers,
Marc

Patches & Decals

Nothing currectly offered by the Pentax web store interests me. I don't wear t-shirts as outside apparel in public. The raspberry beach blanket/towel is an odd promotional item. And I have no need for a coffee mug, plastic water bottle, or a cheap ink pen.

I miss the old traditional favorites - two or three nice cloth patches and two or three quality decals, both in various sizes. After all, these offer the most flexibility for consumers since the patches can be sewn onto virtually anything (camera bag, jacket, hat, shoulder strap, etc) and the decals can be placed nearly anywhere (vehicle, binder, briefcase, hard camera case, etc).

Most companies used to offer patches and decals (occasionally even as free handouts), but stopped doing so when they decided there is more money/profit to be made from selling apparel and products with the company logo and advertising already affixed.

I agree with Stewart - you can't beat the logo stickers and patches.

I've already gotten the t-shirt from the Pentax Web Store, but I wouldn't mind having a white of black one with just the Pentax logo on the front. Also, I'd like to see them come out with car window stickers like the Pentax logo or "www.pentaxian.com". If I could get something like that, I'd happily slap one on the back window of my car to show my Pentaxian pride.

In addition to a logo baseball cap, I'd like a logo bucket-style cap or another style hat with a brim all around, which I would wear to the beach or other places where I would be out in the sun all day.

Since we'd be buying all this gear, it would be a very cheap form of advertisement for Pentax, as Pentaxians aren't afraid to publicly express their pride.

Some people don't like T shirts, so a polo shirt (basically a T shirt with a collar) would be a good option, they are slightly "dressier" too.

I've been wearing my cap that Marc sold me all summer!

How about a Pentax necklace with a DSLR hanging off of it? That's about all I need.

I agree 100% Would love a nice white polo with a beautiful red Pentax on the front !! I was lucky enough to get one of the hats before they discontinued them, wear it every time I want a ball cap on me head, unless I am heading to the ballpark to watch the Cards, then I'll don one of my Cardinals hats !! I do wish they'd make a Pentax cap in white though, black kind of roasts yer head in the summertime !!

A matching baseball cap and t-shirt.

On the inside of the hat, it should have reflector, gold one side, silver the other. And if you turn the shirt inside out, it should be bright white.

Apparel should look good, but also serve the photographer. It should be another tool.

The problem with car labels for expensive devices is the advertising that it is possible that the vehicle contains something with that brand name. I have never understood people who put expensive car audio equipment company logos on their vehicles.

Now, if it came to a nice hoodie ...

Maybe a Scott-e-vest type of photographer's jacket? I'd suggest both bolder (say, black with BIG red Pentax logos on sleeves/back) and more restrained versions (black plus other color options, with smaller logos, maybe just on the sleeves). One thing for sure, I'd want it to have a pocket on the outside that could temporarily swallow a DA* 50-135mm lens hood without looking too awful!
