New Studio on Horizon
Quick shot of the 11.5'x19.5' shed in the back yard of the new house we are buying in Sterling, VA. Destined to become my new studio. Yippeee!
  I'll be insulating the walls and ceiling and placing drywall all around. Not sure about the floor. Perhaps a simple linoleum or better yet some kind of insulated flooring with a hard surface. Have to address the HVAC issues. I may get a small heat pump and mount it over the door since that will be the camera end of the studio and is less likely to be in the way. My tax rebate is going toward a set of AlienBee 800s so by June I'll be in business.  Any suggestions from anyone who has done a similar studio project would be greatly appreciated. p.s. I plan to have a FREE studio open-shoot sometime this summer complete with models for anyone near northern VA who would be interested. Let me know if you'd like to attend.
