I'm from India, just wanted to know how many other Pentaxforums Indian members are here.

DA 18-55 (kit lens)

A35/f2.8 (has sticky aperture blades)
A50/f1.4

Tamron 28-200 3.8-5.6 XR

I think I have collected lot of items (never ending LBA).

Its always hard to find pentax gear in India, at least in Nagpur.

Planning to buy K10D this week..do u guys know of any official dealer of Pentax in Mumbai/Maharashtra?? Shlould I or Shouldnt I buy K10D in Grey market?? I have heard Camera market in Mumbai (Fort area ) is reliable n gray will do...dont even know official price of K10D in India...

Hrishi,
If possible ask someone to get it from USA so that you can get international warranty on it. You can buy grey market too, but without warranty. If you are interested in K20D, pm me.

In India IDLDPL is the official retailer for Pentax
Now there website is not working but the Mumbai office address is

Is there any harm in buying from grey?? I know I wont get the waranty, but if sumthing happens to my camera, I'll b able to repair it at a Pentax retailer/Grey shop, right?? ( Of course I'll pay 4 the repairs..)

Yes you can get paid service.
I read some where that IDLDPL sell K10D for 35K wothout papers & for 45K with papers. You can compare these prices with grey market & decide.

Dunno whether it is too late to reply..I got my K10D for Rs 35000/- from a shop called Karan foto in Fort area in Mumbai..

Though it is not a very good shop, its the only one which had K10D (or any Pentax camera for the matter!)

Though the shopkeeper insisted that the camera isnt grey, I'm sure it is, but as he gave me a servicer's waranty n a bill, I'm pretty happy with it..

IN Rs 35K, I got k10D + 18-55 AL, Original looking manual (not the xeroxed ones comming with grey stuff), Battery with charger, USB cable video cable, viewfinder cap, S/W, 1 GB card (Very slow), 52mm UV filter, LCD sticker, A good bag..

So far I'm very happy with my gear..
