I did it :)

Bestbuy.com placed the order today. I swore I would not place one of these silly posts before I got it but ............ could not resist. K10 on the way.

Bestbuy deal is not bad. $899 +tax free shipping . All said an done total was $940 something. I up the shipping to 2 days. I will be selling the kit lens (already have one I don't use) and getting the grip. shopping this weekend for the grip and have email out to Sigma about rechipping the flash. I will be the devil on your shoulder DO IT DO IT DO IT (insert devil smiley here)

Congrats -

I got my K10 just about a week ago. It is a great feeling to actually hold it in your hands.

I find that I hold it and work the menus alot. More than taking pictures. I already know how to take pictures but have to really learn the camera. I am going to shoot a workshop tomorrow witht he K10. Just have to make sure I don't try to get too creative too fast.

good stuff man, congratulations.

so happy with mine, i dont know what i'd do with out it. as far as the sigma. I might go and buy the 540. with the rebate, it's not that much more than the sigma. maybe in due time when i get another body, i might spring for the sigma, but until all the issues are resolved, or when I at least get to talk to them in person during the next expo.

happy shooting!

Congrats Pat,
It's good to hear you finally got the k10. I know you'll enjoy it. Is this a lead in to the real world of LBA? You know you'll have to post first pic's.
things here are starting to turn around but I'm still insistent on a new k100 I really don't have the need for 10mp right now and In a few months to a year the k10 will be lower in price. (MAYBE)

Good Shooting.
Cheers: David

Congratulations on the camera. You will love it. There is a learning curve. Even with already using a DS. There are still modes that I am trying to figure out, and what to use them for. It is a splendid machine. So much control over so many things.
thanks
