I've just updated my FA* list- my LBA is now officialy over. I no longer feel an urge for getting more lenses...

Even though your A* may be beaten up, I'm sure you could get something decent for it on ebay. After all, one in good condition sold for an absurd sum of $800 on eBay a few days ago...

Just one:
FA* 300/4.5

In the mail:
FA* 24/2.0

I agree with you, these full frame all metal star lenses are really something.

Haha, the closest I ever got to * lenses are the jpegs on the internet and here on the forum. Thats how bad its is. Never even seen one in real life.

From time to time I tell myself its ok because I at least have some decent primes.

RICOH XR Rikenon 135mm f2.8
RMC Tokina II 200mm f3.5
RMC Tokina 300mm f5.6

+ 58-55 Step Down Ring and an Olympus TCON 17.

Not after any other FA*'s, just have my tongue hanging out for the new DA* zooms!

I would also love a 135-500 f4.0-f5.6 super zoom for birding and wildlife that has SDM and better than a Bigma for under $2000. Now that would be really cool!

is this one a FA* ?

I'll be getting the DA* 50-135 - I'd love an FA* 80-200, but the cost must be ridiculous?
