The * lens club

Hey Just want to know how many of yah have the premo-glass of Pentax legend; FA*/F*/A* glass that is. I say this is a harder club to join these days as true * glass is getting EXPENSIVE and rare. The New DA* line can be included when it hats the market too I guess. But something is more appealing when its a full 35mm frame image circle
Please name what you have.

My list so far
FA* 24mm F2
FA* 300mm F2.8
Soon to be: FA* 200mm F2.8

working on:
80-200 F2.8 and maybe a 28-70
the 600mm F4 is a pipe-dream, but luckily I know a plumber

SPECIAL:
Oh and if you can show proof of owning the ultimate * lens, you win a prize... That lens is of course the smc PENTAX-A*1200mm F8 ED [IF]

Working on

Da* 200mm f2.8

Only have the FA 43mm Limited so far. Working on getting the full "Three Amigos"—31mm, 43mm and 77mm Limiteds, all in black (which my 43mm is).

Hay Brendan Why don't you list all your other lenses and start that rental business we discussed It was an excellent idea when you told me about it and I still think it is.

You have my curiousity perked. I was thinking of asking a question about why it is easy to rent Canon and Nikon stuff but wonder is there places in the USA or else where that you can rent Pentax gear? Sorry for the hijack.

Only 2 here

I have the FA* 28-70/2.8 and the FA* 300/4.5. I had the opportunity to purchase a good condition A*85/1.4 but I passed on it. I now regret that decision but it became available around the same time I was buying my first house so I was on a self-imposed LBA ban... Now I can't seem to find one

Exclamation Please Note

OK OK Please note, I am ONLY talking about * lenses. Yes the Limiteds are special, but now compaired to the * lenses, esp the FA* they are easy and comon to get... Thats because their price is under $1K and still in production. The 300 and 600 FA*'s are still in "production" but ate WAAAAY expensive.
I dont mean to harp on all you Limited guys but I ment this to just be a * lens thread... one for us to adminre, envie and hate others for having what we want LOL
So please just post ig you have a * series lens, than you can add if you wish your other favorate Limited, or future investment plans (for me, I am trying to have a 1st. born so I can sell them off for that 600mm ) for a * lens.

Also for the rental idea, its here: Pentax Rentals

Just three...

But it's a great set of three...

FA* 80-200/2.8
FA* 200/4 Macro
FA* 300/2.8

Upcoming: FA* 85/1.4, perhaps a FA* 600/4 next year...

Cheers,
Marc

Just 2 so far

FA*24/2.0
FA*300/4.5

Not after any other FA*'s, just have my tongue hanging out for the new DA* zooms!

I would also love a 135-500 f4.0-f5.6 super zoom for birding and wildlife that has SDM and better than a Bigma for under $2000. Now that would be really cool!

Since it looks like collectively we have most of the * lenses, why not post pictures of ones that are missing in the database, including:

M* 300/4
A* 300/4
A* 200/4 Macro
A* 135/1.8
A* 85/1.4
FA* 400/5.6 (does anyone have the other two "big guns"?)

My current collection:
FA* 24/2
FA* 28-70/2.8
A* 200/2.8

Soon to arrive:
FA* 300/4.5
FA* 80-200mm/2.8 [with it, my LBA ends]
