posing full body subjects

When I see a full body subject pose straight front, sometimes I feel that it could look better if the subject is turned slightly sideways. Usually the Photographer dictates the pose and the subjects follow. Is it insensitive to pose the subject sideways for every shot (and/or partially cover the body with second subject, if there is one) if the pose yields the best look in photographers view/opinion?

I'm starting to pose my subjects with a natural look whenever possible.
