Pentax Battery......is it durable?

Well I can answer my own question. I apparently left one of my K20D's batteries in the pocket of my shorts which I just ran through the washer and dryer. I was expecting the worst but hoping for the best. I popped it in the camera and it still works. How's that for durable?

In short, you are lucky it didn't short out in your shorts and cause a short circuit.

^^ The above post is deliciously corny after I read it twice. ^^

One time my windsheild was thick with ice and I really did not feel like scraping for ten minutes. I went in the house and got a big bucket full of hot water and poured it on the windsheild and melted the ice.
Was the windsheild durable enough that it did not crack or was I lucky?

"Who's there?"
"I don't know, Babs. But I do know this...."

Don't go pouring hot water on a frozen car windsheild or test a battery that had been submerged in water by using it to power a K20.
Try it on your friend's Nikon or somethin' else.
