I once helped Karl Malden by opening his trailer door for him, as his hands were full with his lunch tray.

I'll let you google Karl as I had to for Bill :-)

Once saw Mark "Chopper" Read walking down Albert. I would've said hello, but he was on the phone.

Chopper is not the sort of person you disturb when he's on the phone.

One thing I enjoyed taking club rugby pictures this winter was getting up close and taking photos of several All Blacks and Super 14 players. Some of them appreciate the club scene and play whenever they can, others don't bother.

I road on a plane from Nashville, TN to Jacksonville with Donnie and Johnny Van Zandt. I also was on a plane from Fayetteville, AR to Dallas a couple of times with Clarence Gilyard (Trivette, Walker Texas Ranger and Die Hard). Several Govs and Senators etc.

Edit: No pics but I did get Donnie and Johnnie to sign my plane ticket.

I had a very nice conversation with Kenny Rogers about photography many years ago. It turns out he was a very good large format landscape photographer.
I ran into Paul Hogan a few years ago in a fishing lodge near Flaming Gorge Utah some time ago, and I had a very nice chat with one of the Rolling Stones last year while walking my dog in the park across from the hotel they were staying at.

I once saw Richard Gere and the late Christopher Reeve in my home town. I never talked with either nor took any photos of them, wasn't into photography then. My sister got both their autographs though.

Donnie Van Zant gave me the nickname Straightshooter when I did some pics for .38 Special way back when their first album came out. I still have that album signed by the whole group.

Working on an airline ticket counter, you meet a lot of fairly well known people. I met Charlton Heston, Wayne Rogers, Joe Namath, Gene Roddenberry, England Dan & John Ford Coley, Molly Hatchet, Lynard Skynard (the original group), Bo Diddley, just to name a few. Charlton Heston probably had the most impressive personality of anyone I ever met. There was a "presence" to him that was almost overwhelming.

I have a piece of paper in my scrapbook that says "To Calvin, Live long and prosper. Gene Roddenberry" If you're not a Trekker, that won't seem like a big deal but if you are, you understand.
