How to instruct a non-savvy person in testing a used K100D and lenses?

Problem: I bought a used K100D from Henry's and 2 lenses. But it is now with my sister who is not familiar with DSLR. She knows how to use it (from reading the manuals). But I still don't have an idea of the equipments' condition. The body only has a 90-day warranty so it runs out in October. If she ships it to me and I find something wrong with it, it would be out of warranty by then.

What fairly diagnostic pix can she take to send me which will give me an idea of their condition (are they back/front focusing, relative sharpness/saturation/CA/distortion, etc).

Or could you suggest a series of procedures she can go through to let her find out if the body/lenses are problematic?

There are some pix she has sent me but they have been castrated quality wise (compressed to 200kb or less and the EXIF data have been stripped)

Maybe she could take it to a local camera shop or camera club in her town and have them take a look at it.
