Back to basics

After a few years of going nowhere with a computing degree, this year I've started doing a Bachelor of Arts with a photojournalism unit. And fortunately there's just enough room in the top pocket of my Slingshot 200AW for a 30 year old Cosina SLR with a slightly dented Cosinon 50/1.8 (and a Haminex 28/2.8 in the main section)...

*istDL/Sigma 18-125@88mm, 1/100s, f5.6, 200 ISO, AF540FGZ flash with home made bounce/diffuser, highlights blown in Photoshop

Richard (never complaining about slow autofocus or inaccurate auto exposure again)

And there is a Pentax link to this post... the Cosina picked up a Pentax neck strap somewhere along the line.

You know, all I ever really wanted for photography from the digital age was for it to free me up from the cost of film and developing.

I second that. I will shoot film still, but, since going digital, i have learned that extra step needed. Tho film did teach me how to shoot properly from the get go..you just dont really want to junk 24 shots now do you...

Yea, that was my primary motive. To spare the cost/hassle of film. the most annoying thing is the crippled Kaf mount.

How is the Cosinon 50/1.8 doing? I have one offer here for this lens (cheap). Has it got adjusted to your DSLR. I want to hook it up to my K 100D.
Thanks.

Yeah. Oh. Yeah.

That roll of tape - branded STYLUS - does that mean Olympus is in the gaffer's tape market?

That is one wicked looking Cosina.
