Posts: 73 | Finally ! Several weeks later than planned (the money originally saved for new glass was spent fixing a stupid car), I returned to my favorite local camera store. Well, the only serious one around here anyway. The store was just celebrating its 100 year (!) existence in town, so I got a nice extra discount  It's a family business and was founded by the current owners grand-grand-father. He remembers his father and grand-father having passionate discussions with all kind of photo-enthusiasts about different brands, technical innovation and all the questions we still discuss in forums today ...... I just wonder what people were discussing back in 1908 ? Must have been interesting stuff ...... Oh yes : and I finally have my DA* 16-50 and DA* 50-135 ..... X-Mas feeling in gloomy November is a great thing ...... @RaduA : no, I didn't forget, and I will give you my impressions on the 16-50 as soon as possible  |

| Pentaxian | You're lucky...a 30 year old company here just went under. And I didn't get a chance at their clearance sale, if they had one. I went to another location yesterday (was cleared out too, but they just moved across the street). I was filled with surprise and chagrin. In the cases, they had a used K100d w/kit lens, K200d, and a K20d with about 5 grips. I looked down and saw a brown-ish box. They have a *16-50  But...also unfortunately...I didn't get a chance at their moving sale. They don't carry any film/chemicals anymore  |
