Just found the thread. I'm honored to get the Takumar nomination, though I personally think it is due to persistance rather than skill.

If Javier is not confirmed for the Silver Nitrate there is no justice in this world. Mark me down for his second, third, fourth, or whatever else is lacking.

I'm not around for a few days and when I open my e-mail what do I find? Gary starts this thing and I get nominated and approved in TWO categories. How am I ever going to live up to it?

I can't believe that nobody has nominated Chris (codiac2000) for Best Portrait.

When you see his work, it's hard to believe that he hasn't been shooting portraits any longer than he has. He has both the technical and creative aspects of portraiture down pat.
