I would also like to nominate Benjikan (I hope I spelled that right, my memory isn't what it used to be, LOL) for sharing his wealth of knowledge in post processing. Thanks to him I can make a photo "POP" right off the page.

Ray
I would second Ben for his advice in PP tips and sharing his modeling work.

Wildlife shooter of the year.

This is a toughie. I'm going to nominate Marc Langille for this one. His great work at the competition and willingness to share the technique and experiences.

Most improved Bird shooter.

Borno has really improved since the year began. his earlier stuff was OK but lately he's showing us some great stuff and he's been great in answering questions and discussing technique.

That's a tough one. I agree that Mike is deserving but Jay (jsherman999) has also posted some great stuff and test shots with his Taks as well. I bought 2 because of him and Mike. I'm not sure who I'd nominate.

Suzu, are you voting for me for 'most annoying member' because that is the only nomination I've had so far. Not that I mind, my username is Damn Brit after all, I just wanted to find out if you knew what you were doing or whether you need further explanation of what's going on here.

New categories (if approved by others) - LBA King/Queen = My vote is for Hinman (no offense intended - I appreciated all your research and reviews on your blog of the lenses)

I think offense depend on whether you are applying King or Queen to Hin.

Hin, I'm going to put you on the board, if you are offended at all by the title, let me know and I will remove it. Personally I think it's quite a fun and worthy honour to be nominated for.

Daz, thanks for approving Peter.

I will also vote for Peter as the 'most helpful.
I reckon just an all round nice guy (among many, of course)

Peter, I will send you the bill later

Most annoying : haven't come across one I would vote for that yet. A couple from the past come to mind (hint: rice and kings are items etc that speak to me).
However, wont commit, at the moment, but definitely wont put a vote in for Gary.

Gary, your bill will follow as well

Best Portrait : I am going to nominate Daacon, (Dave). I reckon that avatar with the goggles and snorkel has to be an absolute classic!! I assume its a self portrait, it would be anybody's guess?

Most welcoming....

The friendly welcome category should get a gurnsey as well IMHO . I'm sure that most people who join appreciate a Hello and welcome as well as someone taking an interest in their history and camera(s). It reflects just how friendly and useful this forum is.

I'm not sure of the stats (I'm sure Adam could hunt that down), but the most regular Welcomer in the introductions section must be Kerrodown (could be why he's approaching Pentaxian status ).

If everyone else agrees then I nominate kerrodown for that.

BTW, I heartily agree with all the nominations and categories so far....

Gary - no need to thank me for approving Peter. All the thanks goes to Peter for the advice he has given me and others. Thanks Peter

I second daccon for best avatar.
